Fire crews from across Centre County battle blaze in Potter Township barn

Numerous fire companies from across Centre County were dispatched Monday afternoon to a working barn fire in Potter Township.

The fire was reported in the 400 block of Upper Georges Valley Road, with crews dispatched at about 4:45 p.m. Pleasant Gap, Gregg Township, Boalsburg, Centre Hall, Millheim, Undine, Alpha, Miles Township and Boalsburg fire companies were among those called to the scene.

According to a Centre Hall Fire Company member, at least part of the barn was used as a woodmaking shop.

Through Monday night, there was a lane restriction between Lucas Lane and Asher Lane, according to 511Pa.com. In a Facebook post, Miles Township Fire Company urged drivers to avoid the area.
