Centre Hall mountain reopens Tuesday evening after hourslong closure due to crash

The Wichita Eagle file

A section of the Centre Hall mountain was closed for a few hours Tuesday afternoon due to a multi-vehicle crash.

South Main Street in Pleasant Gap from South Harrison Road to at least Greens Valley Road was shut down while first responders were in the area, Centre County 9-1-1 posted on Facebook shortly after 2 p.m Tuesday. The road is open as of 5:45 p.m., according to the state transportation department’s 511PA.

The Penns Valley Area School District in a Facebook post said the crash delayed its high school and intermediate school dismissal times by 15 to 20 minutes, as some buses were delayed returning to the high school from the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology.
