How much can your scooter pull? See the contest that kicked off senior day at Grange Fair

You’ve heard of tractor pulls and pedal pulls, but how about scooter pulls? For some fairgoers, that was the entertainment Thursday to kick off Senior Citizens Day at the Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair.

Sponsored by T&B Medical, contestants could ride their own motorized scooter or a borrowed one to pull a weighted sled through the South Side Stage.

“It’s a lot of fun,” said Dianne Crater, who has been competing in the scooter pulls since the event started.
