Today’s photos are from Mike Frazier.

Frazier writes: “During the mid-1960s, the Band Boosters, a group of parents who had children in the band at the Penns Valley Area High School, would produce a talent show to raise money. The show, ‘The Snow Follies’ would take place in February. Both parents and high school students would take part. The boosters would hire, via a company in New York City, a professional director who would provide music, direction and costumes. Local musicians would form an orchestra and everyone would have fun. Performances played to near sellout crowds and the money raised went to support band trips and other band needs.

“A photographer from Millheim took these two rehearsal pictures in 1966.”
