Philipsburg family displaced after early Monday morning fire
A Philipsburg family was displaced from their home Monday after a kitchen fire, Hope Fire Company wrote in a Facebook post.
Firefighters responded about 12:25 a.m. Monday to the 1300 block of Hale Street for a single-story house fire. The fire began in the kitchen and spread to the attic, the fire company wrote.
The American Red Cross was notified of the fire to assist the family with housing arrangements, the fire company wrote.
Chester Hill Hose Company, Morris Township Fire Company, Columbia Fire Company and Moshannon Valley EMS also responded. Crews were on scene for about 90 minutes.
