Part of US Route 322 in Clearfield County closed for hours after crash

A six-mile stretch of U.S. Route 322 between Philipsburg and Bigler was closed for hours in both directions Wednesday afternoon following a crash.

The crash happened just before 11 a.m. in the 3600 block of the highway, near the Boggs Township Building in Clearfield County. It involved two tractor-trailers with heavy entrapment reported, according to a Facebook post from the Hope Fire Company.

At least one person was flown from the scene by medical helicopter.

The highway was back open at 4 p.m., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
