Fire breaks out at Clearfield County business

Firefighters from the Philipsburg Fire Department responded to a call Monday evening in Boggs Township.

A fire was reported at Dixon Contracting and Supply at about 6 p.m., Assistant Chief Justin Butterworth said. A portion of the building was in flames, and firefighters worked till about midnight to subdue the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Butterworth said. A representative for Dixon could not be reached for comment Tuesday afternoon.
