Barrel 21 expanding its business model

Business continues to bubble in this barrel.

Barrel 21 Distillery and Dining is now open for meetings and special events, the restaurant recently announced, adding another facet to its operation. According to a release, the restaurant can accommodate up to 25 guests in a private dining area and larger groups of up to 125 with advance bookings. The larger groups can be booked for weekdays and Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Since opening in summer 2015, the eatery has shuffled the deck in hopes of expanding its business. In July, the restaurant changed chefs and introduced an updated menu to cater to customer feedback.

“It’s really been a focus on listening to what our customers have been telling us over the last few months,” Partner Roger Garthwaite said in July, “in terms of things they’d like to see on the menu and things they’d like to see changed or improved.”

The restaurant is offering a distillery tour besides standard or customized menus for meetings and events. The company has added an events page where those interested can book times.
