What did you do at the Rathskeller?
The All-American Rathskeller has been open since 1933, just three days after prohibition ended in the United States, but owners Duke and Monica Gastiger announced their closing date of Jan. 27. The Gastigers also own Spats Cafe and Speakeasy, which is also scheduled to close on Jan. 27.
While the vision of the new tenants is unknown, the Skeller and Spats have undoubtedly provided many memories for their customers throughout the decades and the Centre Daily Times would like to hear them.
