The hype surrounding Penn State basketball’s rematch with No. 8 Ohio State Thursday night was enough to bring the celebrities out to the Bryce Jordan Center.

Rapper and reality TV personality Flavor Flav and Penn State football standout and Super Bowl champ Stefan Wisniewski were both spotted in the white-out crowd.

Flavor Flav is a relative of senior guard Shep Garner and has been to several games over Garner’s four years with the Nittany Lions, even snapping a photo with football coach James Franklin in 2015.

Wisniewski, an offensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles, was seated court side, greeting fans before the game.

Thursday night’s game holds significant importance for the emerging Nittany Lions, who are on the brink of an NCAA tournament appearance. Another win over the Buckeyes could help make their case stronger.

The two teams last faced each other this season on Jan. 25 when the Nittany Lions pulled the upset with a 35-foot buzzer beater.
