Officers arrived at the house on the 200 block of West Prospect Avenue at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday after being notified by family members who were unable to get in contact with the occupants. When police arrived, they found an elderly man and woman deceased inside the home.

There were no gunshot wounds, signs of trauma or violence, and foul play is not suspected, officers Keith Robb and Bradley Smail said.

Police are continuing to investigate the causes of death. The Centre County coroner’s office, Alpha Fire Company and Centre LifeLink EMS also responded to the scene.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact State College police at 234-7150, by email or by submitting an anonymous tip through the department’s website
