Justin Bieber bringing his 2020 tour to State College
In a teaser for his latest album, Justin Bieber announced an early Christmas gift for State College fans — a future performance at the Bryce Jordan Center.
The pop star, who hasn’t released an album since 2015, has been sharing bits of new music on social media. At noon on Tuesday, Bieber announced he is releasing a new single, titled “Yummy,” on Jan. 3. The song will be followed by his fifth studio album, a concert tour and docuseries.
As part of the tour, Bieber will stop at University Park on Aug. 6 — his first visit to Penn State.
“As humans we are imperfect,” Bieber said in the promo video. “My past, my mistakes, all the things that I’ve been through, I believe that I’m right where I’m supposed to be and God has me right where he wants me. I feel like this is different than the previous albums just because of where I’m at in my life.”
The tour will begin on May 14 at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington, and will conclude Sept. 26 with a concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Tour and ticket information will be available at justinbiebermusic.com/tour.
“Yummy” follows Bieber’s 2015 album “Purpose.” While the artist hasn’t released music of his own in almost five years, he’s collaborated with DJ Khaled, Chance the Rapper and Quavo, Ed Sheeran, Gucci Mane, Dan + Shay and Chris Brown.
