Penn State student seriously injured after fall off CATA bus
A Penn State student was seriously injured Friday night after falling off the back of a moving Centre Area Transportation Authority bus in downtown State College, a university spokeswoman said Monday.
A 22-year-old man from Philadelphia jumped on the back of the bus along Beaver Avenue and rode for an unspecified distance before falling off, university spokeswoman Lisa Powers said.
He was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital for treatment of serious, non-life threatening injuries, she said.
State College police are investigating the incident, Lt. Bradley Smail said Monday.
A CATA spokesperson did not immediately respond Monday to request for comment.
