State College police release update on high school homecoming dance investigation
A written allegation of robbery, theft and harassment was filed against a juvenile who attended the State College Area High School homecoming dance, borough police wrote in a statement Thursday.
The juvenile was accused of “forcibly taking an item” from someone who attended the dance, police wrote. The department did not release additional information.
A written allegation is the juvenile equivalent of charges being filed against an adult.
The incident was one of three investigated by police.
Officers looked into an alleged fight and indecent exposure, but both “failed to produce sufficient evidence or witness collaboration to result in any police action being taken,” police wrote.
The school district is expected to conduct its own disciplinary review, police wrote.
