U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson, R-Howard Township, made a surprise appearance at Wednesday’s Patton Township Business Association meeting to recognize the organization’s longtime president.

David Panko is stepping down after 22 years in the role. Thompson also recently spoke about Panko, “an extraordinary citizen of Patton Township,” during a speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Through Dave’s leadership, the Patton Township Business Association has continued to advance the commercial, industrial and civic interests for the people of Patton Township,” Thompson said. “His contributions cannot be overstated, and his legacy will be remembered for years to come.”
