Motorists urged to avoid area of University Drive near Penn State’s campus after crash

Motorists were urged to avoid a section of University Drive on Monday evening after a vehicle crash at an intersection near Penn State’s campus.

The university sent out an alert at about 7:30 p.m. about a vehicle crash at University Drive and Hastings Road.

A traffic disruption on University Drive in both directions at Hastings Road was still in place at about 9:30 p.m., according to 511PA.com. Centre County 911 posted on Facebook that southbound may be closed for an extended time while first responders remain in the area.
