Section of U.S. Route 322 in Harris Township reopens after crash with injuries
A section of U.S. Route 322 in Centre County was closed for more than three hours Tuesday afternoon due to a crash involving a tractor-trailer and Jeep.
The crash closed lanes in both directions between state Route 45/Old Fort and the PennDOT stockpile area in Harris Township, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. PennDOT’s travel info site and app, 511PA, showed moderate to heavy traffic around the Boalsburg area.
According to a Facebook post from the Boalsburg Fire Company, the vehicle crash occured at about 4:15 p.m. and involved a tractor-trailer and a Jeep.
One person was injured in the crash and there was a fuel leak from the saddle tank on the tractor-trailer, the fire company wrote.
PennDOT tweeted at 7:40 p.m. that the road had reopened.
