A section of a popular road in Ferguson Township has a new speed limit
A section of Blue Course Drive in State College now has a new speed limit.
The Ferguson Township Supervisors recently approved changing the speed limit eastbound Blue Course Drive between Westwind Drive and Circleville Road. The maximum speed is now 35 miles per hour, a decrease from the previous 45 miles per hour.
A CATA bus stop will be relocated from eastbound Blue Course Drive to the west side of Circleville Road, according to a release from the township. Because of this change, the township’s engineer conducted a traffic study to make sure the road meets the criteria for the reduced speed limit, the release states.
The bus stop relocation is in conjunction with a capital project the township has planned for a portion of Blue Course Drive, David Modricker, Ferguson’s public works director said during a recent township meeting.
