Medlar Field will hold Happy Valley Music Fest for the first time. What to know
Happy Valley Music Fest is back, at a new location and during Labor Day weekend.
The Sept. 3 concert at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, organized by the Chautauqua Region Music Alliance, will feature the Grammy award-winning Dirty Dozen Brass Band. The band, which formed in 1977, is famous for its 12 albums and collaborations with artists from Modest Mouse to Widespread Panic to Norah Jones.
This is the first time the event will be hosted at Medlar Field and it’s first time back since 2019. Todd Wagner, organizer of the Chautauqua Region Music Alliance, said in a written statement that he is looking forward to bringing music to the field.
“We are thrilled to get the Happy Valley Music Fest back on line this Labor Day weekend, and we are excited to have such an amazing facility in Medlar Field at Lubrano Park,” Wagner said.
Fans will be able to enjoy the concert on the field for the first time since 2010 when Reel Big Fish played at the location. General admission tickets are $20 and parking can be purchased for $5.50 in advance of $10 the day of the event through ParkMobile.
Additional acts will be announced prior to the event and all Medlar Field concessions will be available during the festival.
