Clearfield County man reported missing has been found safely, police say

9:15 a.m. April 5 update: Lane Stricek has been located and is safe, police wrote in an updated press release.

A man missing since Tuesday is believed to be in the State College area and state police at Clearfield asked for help locating him.

Lane A. Stricek, 22, of Clearfield County, was last seen about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday at 1144 Bailor Drive in Curwensville, state police at Clearfield wrote in a public information report released Thursday.

He was dropped off for work at Lezzer Lumber’s truss plant, but never checked in for his shift. Troopers said his work hoodie, vest and key fob were found on the Clearfield Riverwalk about 5 1/2 miles away as the crow flies.

Stricek may be in the State College area, police wrote. He was described as 6 feet tall and 160 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. Those with information were encouraged to call police at 814-857-3800.

State College police told the Centre Daily Times they are assisting in the search.
