75-year-old woman reported missing has been located, State College police say
1 p.m. July 5 update: Freda Summers has been located and was transported to a local hospital, State College police wrote in an updated media release early Sunday afternoon. The police department thanked the community for its assistance.
State College police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 75-year-old woman who was last seen Saturday night.
Freda Summers, who is reported to have dementia, was last seen at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Her last known location was in the area of Discovery Drive in Boalsburg, and she is believed to be on foot, police wrote in a Sunday media release.
Summers is reported to be about 5 feet 5 inches or 5 feet 6 inches tall and 250 pounds. A photo provided by police showed her wearing glasses.
Anyone with information about Summers’ whereabouts is urged to contact the State College Police Department at 814-234-7150, by email at police@statecollegepa.us, or by submitting an anonymous tip through the department’s website.
