Grass fire doused near apartments on Blue Course Drive

Alpha Fire Company responded to a grass fire Monday afternoon near The Park at State College apartments off Blue Course Drive.

The Ferguson Township fire was reported at about 3 p.m. Firefighters found a 2,000-square-foot patch of dry grass with flames being driven by the wind behind Building 18 of the apartment complex at 348 Blue Course Drive.

Little damage was reported. The fire did claim two pine trees and some landscaping railroad ties.
