Damage to the front garage door at the Alpha Fire Company station in downtown State College will result in some minor response changes.

According to an Alpha representative, the door was damaged Tuesday when the “down door” button was pressed as a truck was pulling out, damaging the bottom panel of the door. The truck was not damaged and no injuries occurred.

The door has been closed since, he said, and is expected to be fixed in the next two to three weeks.

More importantly, he said, the community should be aware that trucks will now be exiting from the rear of the station and accessing West Beaver Avenue via H Alley. This will be a notable change for residents who are used to trucks exiting from the front.
