State High student injures hand in woodworking class
A State College Area High School student was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center after injuring his hand in an incident at the high school South Building on Monday.
District spokesman Chris Rosenblum issued this statement: “On Monday afternoon, a State College Area High School sophomore injured three fingertips on one hand during a woodworking class. The student received immediate treatment from the school nurse and then, accompanied by a parent, was taken by ambulance to Mount Nittany Medical Center.”
State College police and Centre LifeLink EMS responded to the incident early Monday afternoon.
The 16-year-old boy is in stable condition, according to police.
