State College set to begin sidewalk inspections

The State College borough is set to begin annual sidewalk inspections, looking at the sidewalks in the Highlands neighborhood this year.

Property owners identified as needing sidewalk repairs will be notified during the first week of June, a borough news release said. Owners will have 90 days to complete the needed repairs.

Once repairs are made, owners must contact the borough engineer’s office for inspection, the release said. Sidewalk blocks not repaired within 90 days will be replaced by a borough-selected contractor. Pricing for the contractor will be included in the notice.
