Boalsburg man faces felony charge stemming from crash

A Boalsburg man is facing felony charges stemming from an August vehicle crash.

According to court documents, Grayson Blake, 34, was charged Thursday with a felony count of an accident involving injury while not properly licensed and summary counts of driving without a license, driving while operating privileges were suspended and making an improper left turn.

On Aug. 22, the CDT reported a 22-year-old Penn State student was taken to UPMC Altoona after a car/bicycle crash at the intersection of South Atherton Street and Westerly Parkway. Police said the bicyclist suffered head and body injuries.

State College police confirmed Friday that the charges against Blake are related to the August crash.

Blake was arraigned before District Judge Carmine Prestia, court documents said, who set bail at $50,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
