Tyrone police report armed robbery

Tyrone police are investigating reports of a Sunday night armed robbery.

According to a police news release, at about 11 p.m. an unknown person entered the Tyrone Save-A-Lot displaying a black handgun. Store employees were held at gunpoint while the business was robbed.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 6-feet tall with a thin build in his mid-20s, police said. He was wearing all black clothing, and his face was covered at the time.
