State police investigating ammunition theft

State police at Lamar are investigating a reported ammunition theft in Porter Township, Clinton County.

According to a news release, sometime between Friday and Saturday an unknown person took a camouflage backpack from a motor vehicle along Nittany Valley Drive containing a Foxpro game call, .22-.250 ammunition and .22 magnum ammunition.

The theft is believed to be connected with a well-known crime pattern in the area, police said, and several leads are being investigated.
