Man in wheelchair was ‘trying to grab onto passing cars,’ police say

State police at Lamar arrested a man Saturday for reportedly trying to grab moving vehicles.

According to a news release, Charlie Carroll, 47, was reported to be on the roadway at about 10:45 p.m. along Pennsylvania Avenue in Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County. Carroll was reportedly “highly intoxicated in his wheelchair trying to grab onto passing cars.”

He was taken into custody and cited for public drunkenness, police said.
