Man allegedly gropes woman in downtown State College

A woman reported to State College police late Friday night that she was inappropriately touched by an unknown man while walking in downtown State College.

Lt. Brad Smail said the woman told police a black man approached her near the Fraser Street and Fairmount Avenue intersection, and kissed her neck and groped her buttocks.

Upon arrival, police could not find the man, Smail said.

The investigation continues.
