Murder convictions stand for Kudlach, Podnebennyy

The Pennsylvania Superior Court dismissed the appeals of Alois Kudlach and Vladimir Podnebennyy, a District Attorney’s Office news release said.

Kudlach was found guilty of the first-degree murder of his wife, Nuria Kudlach, in August 2016. Podnebennyy was found guilty of the first-degree murder of his wife, Natalya Podnebennaya, in September 2016.

Neither continuance requests or briefs were filed by the April 24 deadline, the release said, so the court dismissed both appeals Wednesday. With the appeals dismissed, the murder convictions for both men will stand.

Both Kudlach and Podnebennyy were sentenced to life in prison.
