Man cited for driving through corn field

A man was cited for driving at an unsafe speed after missing a turn and crossing a corn field.

According to state police at Huntingdon, Joshua Burwell, 24, of Warriors Mark, was traveling at an apparent high rate of speed when he failed to make a right turn along Ridge Road. His vehicle reportedly hit a ditch and continued through an “unplanned corn field” for about half a mile.

Burwell hit a second ditch before his vehicle finally came to rest in a wheat field, police said.
