An Osceola Mills man faces more than two dozen charges after allegedly fleeing from police Saturday.

According to state police at Philipsburg, troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Christopher G. McGuire, 29, at about 6 p.m. along North Front Street in Philipsburg. McGuire reportedly failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed.

The pursuit spanned about 3 miles, police said, when McGuire crashed his vehicle and proceeded to flee on foot. He was eventually stopped and taken into custody.

McGuire was arraigned before District Judge Steven Lachman, according to court documents, and faces a felony count of fleeing; misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI and resisting arrest; and numerous summary traffic offenses. Straight monetary bail was set at $12,000.

A preliminary hearing is slated for Wednesday.
