House fire in Clearfield County ruled arson
A house fire that occurred at 611 Laura Street in Chester Hill early Sunday morning was ruled an arson by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Unit.
The fire was first reported at 4:30 a.m. by a neighbor who was leaving for work.
According to state police in Clearfield, homeowner Amanda Lynn Thompson was not at home when the fire department arrived on scene. Firefighters had to force their way inside the house and encountered flames on the first and second floor.
