Stolen car recovered, items missing, police say

State College police are investigating a reported Friday night car theft in the borough.

A delivery driver reported her 2009 Mazda had been taken at about 11:50 p.m. along the 400 block of Waupalani Drive, police said. The driver had reportedly left the car running during a delivery.

The car was located Saturday in the Walmart parking lot along North Atherton Street, police said. The vehicle was undamaged, but about $30 in items, along with the keys, were reported missing.
