Felony charge dropped against Bellefonte man

A Bellefonte man was ordered to pay a fine and court costs after entering a guilty plea to harassment.

Steven M. Willits, 47, faced felony and misdemeanor charges in December 2016 after an alleged altercation, the CDT previously reported.

According to court documents, Willits pleaded guilty to one summary count of harassment on Sept. 18. He was ordered to pay a fine of $50, restitution of $1,004 and court costs. Counts of felony strangulation and misdemeanor and misdemeanor simple assault were dismissed.
