Two charged after reportedly shooting firearm in residence
A man and woman face felony firearms charges after allegedly shooting within a residence Thursday.
According to state police at Philipsburg, troopers responded at about 10:30 p.m. to Walnut Street in Rush Township for a report of gunshots in a residence. On arrival, police reportedly discovered Trevor L. Stem, 30, of Bellefonte, and Barbara H. Dubbs, 36, of Philipsburg, “discharging a firearm ... into the ceiling of the residence.”
Both were taken into custody by troopers, police said.
Stem and Dubbs were both charged with felony counts of discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure and misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. Charges were filed through District Judge Carmine Prestia.
Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Dec. 6.
