Man facing reckless endangerment, alcohol charges
A man was charged Wednesday after police say he drove a vehicle under the influence of alcohol on a public road for several miles with another person hanging onto the hood.
Mason Andrew Kershaw, 18, of Mount Union, was charged with reckless endangerment, DUI, underage consumption of alcohol, harassment, disorderly conduct, careless and reckless driving, and failure to use a seat belt, according to state police at Lewistown.
Police were alerted to the situation around midnight when they received a report about a man with a gun along State Street in the Kistler borough of Mifflin County.
Kershaw was arrested and charged at the scene.
He was arraigned in front of District Judge Jack Miller, who set monetary bail at $10,000.
Kershaw was unable to post bail, and was taken to Mifflin County jail, according to court documents.
