Police have released additional details regarding money allegedly taken from a State College grocery store.

The CDT previously reported that money had been taken Friday from the Krishan Indian Grocery at 230 W. College Ave. The suspect reportedly entered the store and demanded money before fleeing from the building.

No weapon was displayed or threatened, police said. The amount taken was not disclosed.

According to a State College police news release Tuesday, the suspect fled to the parking lot of California Tortilla at 322 W. College Ave., where he had previously parked his car. Images of the suspect and his car were captured on surveillance footage.

The vehicle was described as gray or brown with all but the left rear wheel missing hubcaps, police said. It appeared to have damage to the right front corner and right side, with black tape around the front door.

The suspect was described as a white male, about 5-foot-3-inches tall in his 30s, police said. He was wearing a white and black scarf, a black coat, black pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact State College police at 231-7150 or submit a tip through the police website.
