Blair County student to be charged with taking airsoft pistol to school
A 16-year-old was charged after allegedly taking an airsoft pistol to school in Blair County.
According to state police at Hollidaysburg, the male student forgot to remove the pistol from his backpack before going to school Monday morning. He told another student on a bus on the way home that he had the pistol on him.
He then showed the pistol to students on the bus, police said, as one student took a Snapchat video of it. Numerous parents notified police about the incident.
Both the student with the pistol and the student who made the video will be charged with disorderly conduct for creating a sense of public annoyance or alarm, police said. Bellwood-Antis School District officials were also made aware of the issue and will be taking appropriate actions.
