‘Suspicious’ fire in parking lot near Patton Township businesses under investigation

Patton Township police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation of a suspicious vehicle fire on Thursday morning.

Township police and Alpha Fire Company were dispatched at 1:30 a.m. to reports of a vehicle fully engulfed in flames in the parking lot of 1019 Ghaner Road, according to the news release. Several businesses, including a pediatric dental care, share the parking lot.

The circumstances of the fire are suspicious, police wrote.

Patton Township police and the Centre Region Fire Marshal are investigating the fire. Anyone with information on the fire or who may have seen suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact the Patton Township Police Department at 1-800-479-0050.
