Centre County man with long history of exposing himself back in jail days after release
A Centre County man with a prolific history of publicly exposing himself returned to jail Friday.
Kelvin J. Flory, 62, was accused of exposing his genitals and walking naked last month in the backyard of a home along the 500 block of West Front Street in Port Matilda.
He was caught on camera wearing what appeared to be only shoes and admitted Friday that it was him on the footage, state police at Rockview wrote in an affidavit of probable cause.
The footage showed the nude Flory walking in the backyard July 27, just eight days after he was released from serving the entirety of a lengthy state prison sentence for similar convictions.
He was sentenced in April 2013 to serve six to 12 years in state prison for masturbating and publicly running around naked in the State College and Bellefonte areas.
His spate of arrests included running naked between homes and Community Field along South Atherton Street, masturbating near the Bellefonte YMCA and exposing himself to employees of local businesses, the CDT previously reported.
Flory has a “history of indecent exposure and open lewdness” dating back to 1994, state police wrote. Online court records show more than a dozen misdemeanor convictions.
He was charged Friday with a misdemeanor count of indecent exposure and open lewdness, as well as summary counts of criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.
No defense lawyer was listed. The Centre County Public Defender Office said it was not appointed to represent Flory as of Friday.
He was arraigned by District Judge Allen Sinclair, who set bail at $10,000. Flory did not post bail and is incarcerated at the Centre County Correctional Facility.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 14.
