State College police apprehend Centre County man wanted for stalking, assault

Dec. 9, 2024 update: Michael Lloyd was arrested Dec. 6 by the South Daytona Beach Police Department and is incarcerated at the Volusia County Correctional Facility, where he is awaiting extradition. State College police were also assisted by the Centre County Districty Attorney’s Office, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and the Department of Homeland Security.

State College police asked for help Tuesday locating a Centre County man whose behavior a lieutenant described as “escalating and concerning.”

Michael A. Lloyd has an active arrest warrant for misdemeanor counts of stalking, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. The warrant was made public Nov. 8.

He was last seen Nov. 14 in the area of Colyer Lake, borough police wrote in a press release issued Tuesday. He is operating a 2021 dark colored GMC Sierra 3500 Denali, a heavy-duty pickup truck.

Lloyd, 43, is white and was listed as 6 feet tall and 190 pounds.

“If you see Lloyd do not approach him and contact the authorities,” police wrote in the release. The department can be reached at 814-234-7150.

Lloyd was sentenced in May 2023 to three to 23 1/2 months in jail after he attempted to shoot a deer but instead shot his neighbor in the head. He pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of recklessly endangering another person and one summary count of unlawfully taking or possessing game

Defense lawyer Brian Manchester declined comment Tuesday.
