An Oklahoma man was arrested Thursday on felony charges that accused him of sexual violence against a child in Philipsburg.

Johnathan Hosier, 25, was charged with felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of someone younger than 16, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors. He’s also facing misdemeanor counts of indecent assault.

He was arrested in Missouri, Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna told the Centre Daily Times.

In a heavily redacted affidavit of probable cause, state police at Rockview said they received a call in March from a man who said Hosier was having inappropriate sexual contact with a child. He said Hosier was temporarily in the area for work.

Two interviews were conducted later that month at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Centre County, including one in which someone said they observed the alleged crimes through a peephole. Hosier was also accused of inappropriately touching the child while they were asleep.

Hosier has not yet been arraigned. No defense lawyer was listed.
