A Centre County man arrested Thursday was accused of possessing more than two dozen images depicting the sexual abuse of children.

Terrell J. Ealy, 24, of Ferguson Township, is accused of uploading the images to the instant messaging app Kik. He’s charged with 27 felonies, including counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and criminal use of a communication facility.

Kik reported in February and March that one of its users shared the images on its platform, a special agent with the state attorney general’s office wrote in an affidavit of probable cause.

The investigator said the videos depicted children being sexually abused by men and that the account was traced to Ealy, who does not have a criminal record.

District Judge Allen Sinclair set bail Thursday at $100,000, which Ealy posted through a bondsman. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 4.
