Police: Man threatened with hatchet on Thanksgiving over Trivial Pursuit question
Police were called to a Port Matilda home after a disagreement over a game of Trivial Pursuit led one player to threaten another with a hatchet.
State police in Philipsburg said a verbal argument over an answer to one of the board game’s questions turned physical. The incident happened Thanksgiving night at a home on South High Street, but was reported by police today.
When troopers arrived at the home, they seized the hatchet and discovered it was actually a piece of drug paraphernalia.
Charges are pending in the case, police said.
