Theft darkens Christmas lights

Police are searching for the person who stole four extension cords from a Howard woman's front yard, disabling her Christmas lights.

The theft occurred between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when the owner of the extension cords realized they were missing. The extension cords were being used for Christmas lights. The theft took place on McClain Rogers Road in Porter Township, Clinton County.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Lamar at 570-726-6000.
