First Night ice sculptures damaged
State College police are investigating a vandalism in front of the municipal building.
Lt. Brad Smail said an unidentified person was caught on surveillance footage damaging the ice sculptures in front of the building on South Allen Street.
The incident was reported at about 2 a.m. Friday, according to the police report. Smail said the suspect could face criminal mischief charges.
The ice sculptures are displayed annually downtown as part of First Night State College — an event that celebrates the new year.
