Man faces charges after police say he fired an arrow at five officers

A 25-year-old Roaring Spring man is facing charges after police say he fired an arrow at five officers who were serving him a warrant Tuesday.

According to a release, Roaring Spring police attempted to serve a warrant to Devin Wyerman at about 1 p.m. when the incident occurred.

State police at Hollidaysburg were called to assist.

Police said no officers were injured or struck by the arrow.

A perimeter was established around the Sugar Street residence for about an hour until Wyerman “peacefully surrendered,” police said.

Wyerman faces four charges — criminal attempt-homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person — for each of the five officers, for a total of 20 counts.

He was transported to Blair County jail, and will be arraigned Wednesday morning, according to police.

Bail has not been set.
