The Port Matilda man accused of abandoning a Philadelphia woman’s body on the side of a Ferguson Township road in February waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday.
Robert Moir, 59, is charged with abuse of a corpse, a misdemeanor, according to court records.
Police said Moir admitted that he abandoned Corinne Pena’s body on the side of Plainfield Road in the early morning of Feb. 14.
Toxicology reports on Pena, 35, are still pending, according to Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers, but police said she died of an apparent drug overdose.
The case will proceed to a pretrial conference May 19.
